Styles of running shorts
It is personal preference regarding which running shorts are the best. There are a number of styles; there is a compression range, spilt short range, tight and baggy range. The lengths of shorts also vary. Some individuals prefer the shorts to hug their shape where other prefers the looser feeling. At run fresh we cater for everyone’s needs so whatever type you want we have.
For the winter month’s it would be advised to get shorts that have colour or reflectors. It is extremely important that you make yourselves visible in the dark. Also if you are running at night it would be an idea to get a tighter pair of shorts or compression shorts. The reason for this is that your muscles will take a little longer to warm up if they are tightly compressed this will reduce the stress or strain that the harsher conditions could have. Also the compression short will make it easier for the blood to flow to the muscles.
Most of the shorts have a pocket either at the back of the shorts or at the front inside in the shorts. If the pocket is at the back of the shorts it has a zip so there is a bit of space for the Ipod or the house keys. The zip makes the pocket more secure.
Sizes of running shorts
The sizes of the shorts are different with each brand, Adidas women’s come up a size smaller, so please consider this when ordering. The sizes for men are small/medium/large and extra large and for women they are extra small (6-8), small (8-10), medium (10-12), large (12-14) and extra large (14-16).
